Synopsis

A coming of age drama about a 27 year old imaginary friend who lives in an isolated town with his female creator. They’ve been best friends their whole lives and the relationship has always been completely platonic. But when the creator begins to fall for a real man, the imaginary friend realises he’s in love with her. He sets about trying to win her for himself, but it’s obvious that he can’t compete in the real world. He must become real himself.

Contender for 'Best Original Score' at the 8th AACTA's Awards 2018

In creating the score for Tony Prescott's debut feature film, I took a thoughtful and careful approach. The film, filled with a strong sense of love, inspired me to craft music that would compliment its tender story. I chose simplicity as the main direction of the score. One distinctive aspect of the score was intentionally incorporating imperfections into every layer. Instead of aiming for performance perfection, I embraced the imperfections to make the music feel more genuine and intimate.
